"Time Flies" Apple Event Brought Some Pretty Cool Products

Posted by iCoverLover on Nov 27, 2020

The virtual event left all the Apple enthusiasts, who were expecting the announcement of the new iPhone 12 at the traditional Apple September event a bit disappointed. Instead, the giant’s »Time Flies« event focused on Apple Watch Series 6 and new iPad Air.

The least surprising novelty, announced in the video by director Tim Cook at Apple headquarters in California, was the Apple Watch Series 6 with faster S6 chip and next-gen always-on altimeter. The company finally included the SpO2 sensor that tests your blood oxygen level in only 15 seconds and immediately reports back. The starting price for the new watch, with tons of new watch faces, starts at AU$548 and it comes in stainless steel gold and black, blue and red.

A very pleasant surprise was the new affordable watch with a starting price at just AU$383. The Apple Watch SE is basically a Series 5 watch, without SpO2 sensor and always-on display feature, but a lot cheaper, with GPS and cellular included.

The 8th generation iPad that was announced in the video is the updated base model with improved functioning and thanks to an A12 Bionic processor that should eke out 40% better performance. The price starts at AU$452 and pre-orders are available already.

iPad Air is a new device, designed to look more like an iPad Pro, that also supports Apple Pencil and new Magic Keyboard. The 27,43cm all-screen display, Touch ID built into the power button and universal USB-C charging port are just some of the cool features that this new device is bringing. In the front, there is a Full HD 7MP selfie camera, the 12MP one on the back and the heart of this revolutionary iPad is 5nm A14 Bionic CPU that makes the device faster than the Pro itself. Starting price for the rose gold, silver, black, green or blue version is around AU$821.

For a healthier life, Apple developed a Fitness+, feature with access to a whole a lot of trainers so that users can work out whenever they have the time, an Apple Watch or iPhone and the internet. In the plan there are 10 different workouts to choose from, weekly updates included, of course. Almost no equipment is required, available also in Apple One bundle.

Apple One is the ultimate feature that lets you purchase several services for one monthly price. Here are the three options to choose from:
